"In case you didn't get the memo, they're the best country band in North America" said Eye magazine about the Rizdales. Lead by husband and wife songwriting team Tom and Tara Dunphy, the Rizdales are a hardcore honky tonk band from London, Ontario. Their sound however, comes from deep in the heart of the American south. Heavily influenced by the classic country greats, such as Ray Price, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn, The Rizdales sing about love, loss and reality without ever taking themselves too seriously. They have released 7 critically acclaimed albums, were handpicked by the Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson to be her Canadian backing band and have played festivals, hole in the wall bars and concert halls from Ottawa to Austin, performing alongside such greats as Dale Watson, The Derailers, The Mavericks, and The Good Brothers, earmarking their place in Canadian roots music history. The Rizdales' most recent release, "Lucky Enough" was release on September 8, 2018 and features instant country hits like the title track, "Lucky Enough", "Holding It All Together" and the Western Swing barn burner, "Honky Tonk Honeymoon".
Be sure to catch The Rizdales when they come to your town, bringing the honky tonk to a hardwood floor near you!
